Reading and Spelling
Reading: Your child will be building their reading stamina throughout the school year. In the fall, we will be working towards reading for 15 minutes independently. We will gradually increase this time to 35 minutes in the spring.
Spelling: This is not required. The list of activities are just for fun to help with our sight words. You can find your child's sight word list in his or her take home folder. I've also attached the link to the 1st grade word list here.
